The next meeting is going to be about Composition. Composition is the art in organizing shapes in a way so that a picture gets the look you want. Every piece of art has some composition made. You may decide to have the tree to the left, to the right, the sun in the top or in the bottom. Should you be close or far away from the object etc.
Depending on your composition the piece of art gives very different emotions to the viewer. The feelings can be peaceful, aggressive, dangerous, beautiful, unkomfortable, or just plain "bad composition"
What we will do. We will sit down and look at great images, paintings and photos and "steal" their composition. In this way we will draw, lots and lots of small images with their basic composition. This way we memorize and get better at composing beautiful images.
This will be useful for - painting - drawing - photographing - film - all art....
We will also do a bit of normal pencil drawing just for fun.
Bring your CAMERAS. After we have practiced on composition its time to test it out in the real world. This means we will go outside to a nearby garden or park and take some pictures of nature and our beautiful selfs.
